BOARD TYPES
A board with the uppermost point width (type 1) is best suited for small waves and little power. With more wide point down (type 2) is better for bigger waves and more power.
The boards with more straight lines, offer more speed and control of the board, both in the wave and in the tubes.
Boards with wide point higher up are more a type used by riders who surf in prone style, while lovers of dropknee usually prefer a board with more width at the bottom point (type3)
Boards with a more rounded shape (type 3) are good for all sorts of maneuvers in dropknee. Offering great fluidity in maneuvers such as the transition between them.
Boards with wide point higher up are more the type used by riders who surf in prone style, while lovers of the dropknee style usually prefer a board with more width at the bottom point (type 3)
RAILS
50/50 – Offers better control in waves with power. As the vertex angle is lower down than the 60/40.
60/40 – The vertex angle of the rail is up more than the 50 / 50. Thus there will be less friction angle at the apex of the water board allowing a looser. Waves are better for small or low power.
CHANNELS
Used by most riders allows a better control of the board in the tubes, the bottoms, and more speed and projection lip in the attack on the aerial maneuvers.
TAILS
CLIPPED-CRESCENT TAIL
A tail more universal good to prone and dropknee, allows a better control of the board in all kinds of waves.
BAT TAIL
Most prefered by riders who surf in prone. The baord with bat tail has more volume in the tail which has the crescent tail, allowing you to maximize speed. It also makes the board looser and a better transition between maneuvers. The tail preferred by riders who compete.
NOSE BULBS
50/50 – Offers better control in waves with power. As the vertex angle is lower down than the 60/40.

CONTOURS
The contour has several features depends on the type, but always offers more comfort and quality to bodyboards.
Can be up to half of the board or only in the elbow area, these calls – or if Elbow Bulbs can be up to the tail in this case are the Full Bulbs.
Within these two types can also differ by up countour or countour the surface of either gets louder than the rest of the board and the other in which the countour is lower than the surface of the board. Within each of these two types there is a wide variety of models.
